How to send mails to a notes server requiring authentication

hi,

Previously, I can send mail to the notes server but now it add a smtp authentication.

When I telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 25, show "505 Authentication required".

so,sending mails with command line "mailx xxxx" failed.

In mailx,mail and sendmail's manpage, I can't find out useful method.

How to pass the authentication under command lines?

Any idea?
