How to Setup a remote printer in hpux installed locally on an IBM AIX unix machine

Hi,

Please help me set up a remote printer in hpux. That remote printer is installed locally on an IBM AiX macine.
How to go about it ?

SAM > Printers and Plotters > LP Spooler > Printers and Plotters > Actions > Add Remote Printer/Plotter. Then fill in the blanks: local printer name, remote system name (of the AIX machine), remote printer name and click on "OK".

Create a remote queue on HP-UX pointing to a queue on AIX:


lpadmin -v/dev/null -mrmodel -pLOCALQUEUENAME -ormAIXSERVER.YOURDOMAIN.COM -orpAIXQUEUENAME


Example:

lpadmin -v/dev/null -mrmodel -pmvs2 -ormcal1mvs.mydomain.net -orplcldup

mvs2's remote queue name is: lcldup
