How to solve this problem?HP-Unix rp8400

Dear All

I made a partion on HP-UNIX Server rp8400 to two nodes node1 and node2 and every node has it's own ethernet port and ip address , the ip address's are on the same network and they have the same subnet.

The problem that i can ping node1 but i can not ping node2 i check the lan of node2 i found it disabled i enabled again inorder to ping node2 this time i pinged but i can not ping node1?

Hi,

#ioscan -fnC lan

you need to assign lan card i/o addresses to the partitions while craeting, which by default detect the respective lan card while booting
never give up

Hi David,

I suspect that there's a problem with the Vlan settings on the switch that these are connected to.
Also are these partitions "hard" Npars or "soft" Vpars?

Hi David,

You will have to be more specific about this problem. Do you have 2 nPars (which is the maximum hard partition on the rp8400) or one nPar config'ed to two vPars?.
