How to start HP-UX CDE on a Windows 2000/NT client?
Because of the Security setup here, the only way for me to establish a session on the HP server is by using SSH.
Is there a way in Exceed software or other to
change the Start Method to SSH, other Start Methods are giving the following error:
"Unable to connect to host using specified start method..."
BTW - I do not have root access to the
HP server, but would like to know if
it's possible to have my PC look like a
workstation using SSH (telnet, rlogin or else doesn't allow me to open a session in this case).
Also, note that I am going through a VPN connection first.
Could someone help me with this one?

Re: How to start HP-UX CDE on a Windows 2000/NT client?
Hi,
I never do that but you need a client (telnet,
rlogin or other one) to connect to a secure
system with SSH.
I just made a search (www.google.com) with
"SSH client windows" and found some product .
The first one can be download freely :

Re: How to start HP-UX CDE on a Windows 2000/NT client?
The Xserver display connects on tcp port 60000, you need to make sure that that port is accessable ie not blocked by the firewall.. otherwise you need to get a socksified server, and an x protocol compressor/redirector tool I forgot the name of...
I'll remember it over the weekend.. come back monday.!
