how to take ignite backup ?

thaks to all for instant support always getting from all experts .now i am intrested to know what is ignite backup and how to take it ? pl guide me in details .

You can do ignite to a local tape drive:

make_tape_recovery -Aid

where is the path to the tape device (e.g. /dev/rmt/1m).

You can also configure an ignite server on one of your systems and run net ignites to that server.

If you haven't already, download and install the software (swremove any previous versions).

Then run "make_tape_recovery -a /dev/rmt/_mn -I -v -x inc_entire=vg00"
