How to test samba....in HP-UX11i...
iam using HP-UX11i, How to test samba whether is working proerly or not ?
please go through below...

/etc/rc.config.d

#cat samba

after changing samba init script you should start samba by init script located in /sbin/init.d/.
and you can easily check samba shares by
smbclient -L yourhostname
mathmad.

/opt/samba/bin/smbclient -U username
Give password when prompted.
Or use a windows box.
Note that except for the latest version of Samba from http://software.hp.com I got very bad results from HP-UX/Windows domain integration.
