How to upgrade aCC 3.39 to aCC 3.52

How do I go about upgrading aCC 3.39 to aCC 3.52, after searching the Patch Database it seems the path is to upgrade to 3.50 then apply PHSS_24983, is that correct?

I haven't been able to find a patch that upgrades 3.30 to 3.50, is there one or is 3.50 a new install?

Is there a standard accumlative patch to bring 3.39 right up to 3.52 ??

have you see the Patching from the compiler inform and release notes and patches.

sorry, but I don't see anything for 3.52. just 3.45 and 3.50. best of luck.

Hi David,

PHSS_24983 is an OmniBack patch, and I don't see how it has anything to do with the ANSI C compiler version. I think you meant to say PHSS_29483.

The C++ patches I see are:

PHSS_30765 - patches 3.55 -> 3.56
PHSS_29483 - patches 3.50 -> 3.52
PHSS_28765 - patches 3.37 -> 3.45
PHSS_26952 - patches 3.33 -> 3.35
PHSS_25170 - patches 3.30 -> 3.31

I don't see any patch that starts with a base of 3.39. Are you certain that is the version of the fileset you have installed? If so, which media did you install this from? I wonder if there is an updated version of the media you installed from that would allow you to update to a newer baseline and then patch from there?

Dave, yes you're right I meant PHSS_29483,
I installed the base of 3.37, so its seems I
must install the base of 3.50 first and then
apply 29483.....right ?
aCC 3.50 seems to be available on the Sep '03

Yes, that's the way I'd do it. Get onto a base that one of the patches is looking for and then apply the patch.

yes,you are right.

Just install 3.50 which will upgrade your Compiler to 3.50 and then install the fix patch to upgrade its patch version.
