If you used swinstall to install the old version, use swremove to remove it and swinstall the latest version on your system. Just make sure you keep a copy of the sudoers file in a save place.

I want 2 upgrade the sudo and authendication shuld done by PAM . Can you tell me the steps I hav to follow..
i got following steps
1.Root Ignite backup
2.backup /etc/sudores
3.swremove
4.swinstall
5.Replace new sudores file with old one
Then wht I have to do with PAM ??? can any one tell me

After the repleasement alsow do a visudo to check if the configuration is still working (some old sudo versions have some other settings than the laatste one, a visudo will detectthe errors (if there are...) and will alsow gives some goot cluess how to fix them...
