how to verify what parameters need change
I have HPUX 11i path dec 2002 and one product the backup BrightStor, the product no backup more the 80GB, i need change any any parameters the kernel this change what afect.

You will have to talk to the manufacturer of BrightStor since there is nothing inherent inside HP-UX that would limit a backup program from saving any amount of data. Now if you mean that you have a DLT tape drive that is running out of tape, there is nothing you can change except to split the backup or keep changing tapes until the backup is complete.

I can recommend using the firmware compression option instead of the non-compressed parameter but this is usually the default with most backup applications. I'm not familiar with BrightStor so you'll have to check with them. To check all firmware compression device files run this command:
ioscan -fknC tape
Note the /dev/rmt/...BEST.. device files
For example: /dev/rmt/c#t#d#BEST
ioscan -fknC tape
