HP aC Compiler version B.11.01.20 needed

Hi guys,

I'm running HP-UX B.11.00 32 bits and I need a HP aC Compiler version B.11.01.20 while I have the old one A.11.00 version.

I've found two patches PHSS_25249 and PHSS_25171 but I have problem to install them by running "swinstall -x patch_match_target=true -s /tmp/depot/PHSS_25249.depot"

Hi Armand,

Do a "ps -ef | grep swagent", if nothing returns do a /sbin/init.d/swagentd start

Also an "ls -lad /tmp/depot"
and an "ls -l /tmp/depot/PHSS*" might clarify something.

If you have an X-session you might want to set your DISPLAY and start the GUI, this sometimes gives a better explanation.

After downloading the patch

copy the patch to the /tmp folder

1.sh /tmp/

which will extract the depot and text files of the patch.

2.swinstall -x patch_match_target=true -s /tmp/PHSS_25171.depot

That is the release history and you will see that the patches need a later version to load.

I would also like to check up whether the fileset for the patch is loaded on the machine

#swlist -l fileset|grep -i C-ANSI-C

2.Also look at whether the patch is already loaded

swlist -l fileset|grep

If the filesets are not on the box or the patch is already installed swinstall will not select for the installation.

so far, I don't have an Application CD release June 2000 for HP C (SD Product version B.11.01.20.

This why I can not install the new patch version PHSS_25171.

How can I do to get this application CD (string A.11.01.20)?

note that I hav ethe aC++ Compiler but what is about the C Compiler?

This product is licensed.

You need to contact HP representative to get the software license.

Once you get the license you will be shipped with the application CD kit.
