What is the meaning of 64-bit porting and an Oracle porting?

64 bit porting as a general term means porting an application to run on a 64 bit OS. Oracle porting means porting an application to work with Oracle.

It could also mean converting data from a 32 bit Oracle application to a 64 bit database server.

You have an option with HP-UX to install either an Oracle 32 bit or 64 bit version. Though a conversion is required, the 64 bit version will be able to address more memory, re, consume more system recources.

Perhaps you could provide references such as links so I don't have to guess your question.
