HP ANSI C++ B3910B A.05.30 received signal 11

Hello,

I ran into a signal 11 error during compilation of a c++ program that uses iostream cout. printf in the same code section seems OK.

Appreciate any pointer.

Do you have the following patches installed?

PHSS_24469
PHSS_25454
PHSS_24470
PHSS_24467

One other note:

The PHSS_24470 addresses some signal 11 issues. None of the four patches listed requires a reboot of the host if that's an issue.

We received the system with hp-ux pre-installed w/o patches.

I'm getting familiar with the hp internal sw distribution and installation process. I'm from the Compaq (and digital) classic groups.

After the installation of PHSS_24469 and PHSS_24470, the signal 11 error went away.

I only applied the 2 patches that seemed likely.

PHSS_24469 (s700_800 11.20 aC++ library patch) and PHSS_24470 (s700_800 11.20 aCC C.05.03 product patch)
