Re: hp bclass fail to initialize

Hello!
Status -7 means Nonexistent device.
The device address supplied to ENTRY_INIT is valid, but, the target controller or device is not installed or is not responding
ENTRY_INIT -7 Causes:
- Booting from the wrong path or non-existent device.
- Trying to boot from a device that is not responding.

Re: hp bclass fail to initialize

Hey Galen,
Why are you booting to tha alt path?

You could boot to primary, and answer yes to interract with ipl, then hpux -is.
That'll bring you to single user.

Or boot primary, yes to interract, and hpux -lm, for LVM maintenance mode. You'll have to vgchange -a y /dev/vg00, fsck the lv's, and mount them. and you should be in there.

BTW, nice name...Are you the West Coast guy, I spoke to 5 or 6 years ago?
