Hi Shiva,

Last one year I have been working as a System Administrator and for the last 4 to 5 months I have been preparing for this exam.

The questions are tough. Working experience has helped a lot.

I have read twice the HP Certified HP-UX System Administration book by Rafeeq Ur. Rahman. This is a good book and I will recommend all the HP-UX System Administrator should have one.

I practiced the sample questions at the HP Certification site and also the ones at the end of the HP-UX System Administrator Book.

Some free sample questions are also available at : Boson Software, Pass-guaranteed.com, Instantcert.com, Itpass.net.

Questions from http://www.networkessentials.com/certified/hpux/ are tough and I didn't find any questions coming from here in this test. May be this will good for the Advance IT Professional Test.

Total questions were 82.
Total time was 2hr. 30 min.

I completed the test in 1hr. 30 min.

Good experience.

I am now studying book: HP-UX System and Network Administration 1 (From one of my friend who took part in HP course), and some book from docs.hp.com. Is this enough?

i just wanted to know one thing. do u think its essential that we should have some solid experience in HP-UX adminstration to be able to pass the test successfully.
i have been working as a sys admin since the past six months and frankly everytime i think about certification i become a little nervous. i have taken the hp-ux course SNA1.
and am thinking about buying rafeeq's book ( it is the cost that is making me think :) )
what is ur opinion????

Hey Tran,

I have managed to pass this exam HP0-002 CSA.
In fact, it is not that tough but what
confused me is the fundamental Part which was asking about alot of basic commands that you might not use that much and hence you'll be unsure which parameter should be correct!
Usually in our daily administration life we check the man pages but you can not do that at the Test room, so you might need to take this course which I took right before the exam. Some peers here say this is a very basic course and it should be for beginners, I really don't agree with that because I look at it from a different way ! Try it, it'll cost you $159.00 but it is worth the money! Also, ask the instructor to send you the manual when you are done as well as the a vey well written manual about TCP/IP from 3com web site !
Also, use the Free practice exam from the HP site, it should be at the same following link:
