HP Patch March Bundle

I know that HP publish quarterly for its patches for 11.11. I want to apply those patches but before I request it from HP, does anyone know how to check or where to get a list of those patches inside March Bundle?

Basically, I need to check if these patches are inside the March Bundle;

1. ps cumulative patch
PHCO_25605

2. Replace pfs_mount to mount_cdfs
PHCO_25841
PHKL_26269
PHKL_28025

Re: HP Patch March Bundle

You may use this command to check the patches including in a patch bundle:
# swlist -l product -d @ /SD_CDROM/QPK1100

Hope this can help you. Good luck.

Re: HP Patch March Bundle

Hi,

Some confusion,

http://www.software.hp.com/SUPPORT_PLUS/qpk.html

HP recommends, but does not require, that you install these Quality Pack bundles:

HP-UX 11i Quality Pack (GOLDQPK11i) - Defect-fix patches for HP-UX 11i v1 on HP 9000 workstations and servers. (Rolls each June and December.) Available version: June 2003 (B.11.11.0306.4).

HP-UX 11.0 Quality Pack (QPK1100) - Defect-fix patches for HP-UX 11.0 on HP 9000 workstations and servers. Available version: March 2003 (B.11.00.60.4).

HP-UX 10.20 Quality Pack (700QPK1020) - Defect-fix patches for HP-UX 10.20 on HP 9000 workstations. Available version: September 2000 (ACE.200009.01).

If you are looking for the latest 11.i bundle you need June 2003.

Hope it helps,

Robert-Jan.

Re: HP Patch March Bundle

Hi:

To view the contents of *any* SUpportPlus patch bundel, go to Maintenance and Support (at the ITRC) -> Downloads (Standard Patch Bundles) -> View Support Plus Releases and toggle the bundle you want to view. You will see not only the patch contents (by patch) but links to the patch text itself.

Patches with new "warning" are clearly noted. By clicking on the patch text link you can determine the reason for the "warning" notation. In some cases, a superseding patch is recommended as its replacement. You should always review this information and decide your best course of action. That is, you can skip the installation of patches with warnnigs during an interactive 'swinstall' and follow with a another session of replacement patches as you see fit. Alternatively, you can create your own custom depot of patches comprised of the SupportPlus bundles minus patches with "warnings" plus superceded patches you download to replace them.

Regards!
