HP Patches shoots up the load averages

Hi

We had installed Goldpack11i and Apps11i June 2005 on our HP-UX 11.11 64bit server. The Applications 11.5.4 and Database 8.1.7.4 is very slow and the load averages to 98% on average without anyone connected !

Patch PHKL_33336 addresses this issue. A reboot is required for its installation.

What about the September 2005 Goldpack. That should also include a fix for this issue. Just because Oracle says June 2005 is required does not mean its the best idea. June 2005 is the minimum patch level for certain oracle releases.

You can try with PHKL_34310 which is most recent patch although recommended is PHKL_33336.
