HP ScanJet 5P

I have purchased a new Computer Compaq 7000T and when attempting to install the Card there are more pins on the SCSI Card than available slots to plug them into. What do I need to do?

David,

This is an HP Unix forum, but I think I know what you're asking.

The SCSI Adapter for your ScanJet Scanner should be an ISA card. The only option you have is to install that SCSI adapter into an available ISA slot. I've read that the 7000T doesn't have any ISA slots, only 5 PCI. You'll probably have to buy a PCI SCSI adapter to use in this pc. Refer to your manual to verify no ISA slots before getting a new card.

Hope this helps.
