HP Secure Path
Can anyone explain me the advantage of using HP secure path in Load Balance mode.
Right now I am facing I/O bottle neck on one of system HBA, second HBA which connect with other fabric zone is absolutely free, mainly read operation is performing on th system. Is there any advantage, if I enable load balance option in secure path?

Re: HP Secure Path
Shalom Shah,
Load balancing can help with i/o problems by using more available bandwidth to process it.
Example, I've got a fiber channel connection to disk and its saturated, causing i/o issues. I can add a second fiber channel card, use load balancing and solve the problem.
The i/o problem can also be solved by reconfiguring the disk storage based on needs. Heavy write environments should not be placed on disk configured for raid 5. Raid 1 works much better in such instances.
I can see no downside in trying the load balancing option in secure path, though you may wish to look at how your disk is configured on the SAN/disk array.
