HP server B.11.11 PA-RISC rp5470,rp2470 and Oracle 9.2.0.4

configuration:
HP-UX B.11.11 not patched
Oracle 9.2.0.4
application server rp5470 (4 CPU)
database server rp2470 (2 CPU)

Our application based on Cobol Microfocus runtime use *.dat, *.idx (ISAM) index sequential files or database tables on Oracle. When data are stored in *.dat file program run 5 hours. If we migrate data on Oracle the same program run 18 hours.
How determine where is problem? How increase server performance with data on Oracle?
Database server is not load.

Have you installed oracle recommended patches for the O/S? There may also be kernel parms recommended by oracle.

Is the oracle db raw or on a vxfs filesystem?

If it's on a filesystem, what mount options are being used and is OnlineJFS available?

1. I do not know if oracle recomended patches for OS are instaled. I will find it.

2. Filesystem is VxFS

3. Options:
Access Permission - Read/Write
Set User ID Execution
Allow Large Files
VxFS options - Full integrity for Critical Metadata(Higher performance)
Synchronous - rite Data Logging - Disabled

Where I find OnlineJFS available?
