HP ServiceControl Manager,HP Software Distributer

Hi,
I want to know about teh following softwares

1)HP Service Control Manager
2)HP Software Distributer.

Are these pricy products as on the cd they dont require any codeword to open that.For what these softwares are used for??

1)For SCM documentation, visit:
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/netsys/



2)see man 4 sd

Software distributor is on all machines and used to install the OS.

swlist -l fileset|grep -i dist


In both case www.docs.hp.com and search this site
