HP Servuce guard
Hi Gurus,
i have observed a peculiar problem on HP MCSG (hpux 11.31--MCSG 11.19) .when i stopped the package from node 2 and started the the package on node 1 ,package started successfully .interesting thing is that even after stopping the package ,virtual ip not removed by service guard on node 2 and the same vip mounted on node 1 while starting the package .both nodes were having vip which caused my application failure .
i am not sure why package started on first node without noticing us any IP conflict ? .why package package not unmounted the VIP on secondary node ?.why serivce guard not detected the vip availbity on secondary node ,even after stopping the package pon secondary node ?.
is it a bug ?
anyone have any clue what could be the reason for this ?

Re: HP Servuce guard
Doesn't sound like normal behaviour, but you haven't given us much to go on... it would be interesting to see the package log on both nodes, and to see the output of a cmgetconf - something like:
cmgetconf -p <pkg_name> | sed -e /^#.*/d -e /^$/d
obviously substituting <pkg_name> for your package
I am an HPE Employee
