Hi everyone,
We have a customer with two N-4000's in a SG cluster. The systems have 4 packages each as follows:
* One for the application (can't move between nodes)
* One of floating IP (can move).
* One for monitoring LAN interfaces (using EMS).
* One for monitoring Disks (using EMS/LVM).
The application generates its own traps, and these are already being receiving and processed by the customer's network management system.
The customer also wants to receive traps for hardware failure. Will these traps be raised automatically since EMS is installed and configured, and because a package would fail in the event of a harddisk failure or in the case of LV's becoming stale.
Would they have to download/buy some additional MIB's? I believe EMS MIB's are not free... does the same go for SG MIB's?
Thanks,
Abhik.

Re: HP/SG and SNMP traps
Thanks, that does help. Could I also have confirmation that ServiceGuard will raise a trap if one of the monitored packages fails?
