HP StorageWorks DAT 72 SCSI on rx2660

as subject here i attach ioscan and below version of HP ux and controller i used:

HP-UX unknown B.11.23 U ia64 0371323715 unlimited-user license

1/0 ext_bus SCSI Ultra320 A6961-60011
1/1 ext_bus SCSI Ultra320 A6961-60011

i already changed scsi id at back of DAT 72 from default is 3 become 5, but after restart and ioscan, insf -e, then ioscan again still can't found my DAT 72.

Hi,

>>> 0/4/1/0.3.0 unknown HP C7438A

==> Ur DDS tape can not detected, so U can try to this way.....first power off system & DDS tape then physical check the SISC cable are properly connected or notâ ¦..unplug the SISC cable & plug againâ ¦..then system power up (boot-up), after boot-up the system check â ioscan â fnCâ & â ioscan â fnC tapeâ and put the output.

Re: HP StorageWorks DAT 72 SCSI on rx2660

You don't have the driver installed.

To do this, run

# kcmodule stape=static
NOTE: The configuration being loaded contains the following change(s)
that cannot be applied immediately and which will be held for
the next boot:
-- The configuration is supposed to include a module 'stape' which
is not available without a kernel rebuild.
WARNING: The automatic 'backup' configuration currently contains the
configuration that was in use before the last reboot of this
system.
==> Do you wish to update it to contain the current configuration
before making the requested change? y
* The automatic 'backup' configuration has been updated.
* Building a new kernel for configuration 'nextboot'...
* Adding version information to new kernel...
* The requested changes have been saved, and will take effect at
next boot.
Module State Cause
stape (now) unused
(next boot) static explicit
#

Reboot now.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
