HP Ultrium 3 tape driver

HP-UX 11.23 PA-RISC

We are attached to a new SAN. SCSI tape drives are assigned virtually to servers.

ioscan -f reports:
Class I H/W Path Driver S/W State H/W Type Description
===============================================================================
unknown -1 0/2/1/0/4/0.45.3.255.5.5.0 UNCLAIMED UNKNOWN HP Ultrium 3-SCSI
...

How can I fix this? I can't seem to find a tape driver on ITRC.

Could you check if the stape driver is in the kernel.

for me it has worked to install patch PHKL_33425 .

please post your os level to besure this is the wright patch

hi marco ;

stape is not loaded as static.

sam -> kernel_configuration -> modules
change stape to static.
