HP Unix 11i v2
Hi I want to install bash shell on Hp Unix 11.23. i was unable to find the software depot from the DVD which i had. can any one tell me depot name for the bash so that i wll install bash on my server

Don't know why you need this.
It is here:
http://hpux.asknet.de/hppd/hpux/Shells/bash-3.2/
Never change the root default shell away from /sbin/sh !!!

Shalom,
HP does not provide the bash shell on its install media.
The bash shell should be used on a limited basis and there may be variances between how it performs on hpux versus linux.
If you change the root default shell, your system may become unbootable and malfunction badly.
Scripts designed and written for posix or the korn shell should not be run under the bash shell.

Look at this site. Here are a lot of software for HP-UX gnu edition.
