HP UNIX freeware?

I plan to buy HP unix system from ebay for learning purpose. Would like to know if any HP UX version is a freeware like Solaris 10.

If I buy HP UNIX desktop from Hp does it come with HP UNIX software or do i need to pay additional license fee for HP UX OS?

If you purchase a server/workstation from HP then you get a license and HP-UX is already installed.

I don't feel like reading the license agreement but I think on HP9000's (as opposed to the 3000's running MPE), it is legal to transfer the license with the machine. If you will contact any of the HP used-equipment dealers (as opposed to someone on eBay), I'm sure that they can confirm this (or indicate that I am incorrect).

There is a LTU License to use that comes with every HP-9000 machine.

To legally use HP-UX base, you need to have the owner of the machine you purchase contact HP and transfer this to you.
