HP-UX 10.20 (32/64 bits)

Is there any 64 bits version of HP-UX 10.20 ?

What command/file do I use/check to verify that ?

10.20 is only 32 bit, although some hardware can run 64 bit. (11 only)

Here is the hardware matrix.

To find out whethere your server can run 64 bit, (only on 11 or 11i) run
# getconf KERNEL_BITS

As Tully's mentioned, 10.20 is not support 64bit.

you can check your h/w's support bits

# /etc/.supported_bits

Sorry no. The first version to support 64 bits was 11.00 and of course it depends on the HW too.
The command to chek (11.00 and on) is getconf KERNEL_BITS. You caould also check the bootmessage in syslog.log.

In addition to the reasons given above, keep in mind that 10.20 hits end of support life in less than three months. By that time it will be about 7 years since its introduction. Is there some reason you're unwilling or unable to move to a newer HP-UX release?
