Re: HP-UX 10.20 Hard Disk Compatibility
Most of the disks that we have purchased over the years had been purchased for hp. So we never had to look for compatibility since it is always the vendor responsibility. Are you buying hard disk off the shelf. There may be some compatibility issues with those disks. Just search the forum with the keyworks and i'm pretty sure you'll find lot more answers from other forum members.
Hope this helps.

Re: HP-UX 10.20 Hard Disk Compatibility
Generally not - as long as you get the proper type of SCSI drive (HVD, LVD, SE, etc.) EXCEPT for booting. If you intend to boot off the drive, then you need an HP drive for the firmware contained within.
If it's not to be a boot drive, then it will most likely work if it's the proper type.

Jeff

Hitachi, Seagate, Fujitsu should all have equivalents.

Re: HP-UX 10.20 Hard Disk Compatibility
In general all disks which match with your interface like lvd, SE, differential works fine .
but it always recomended to buy disk for HP servers/WS from HP only.
