HP UX 10.20 on rp54xx/74xx

Hi All,
Can someone enlighten whether the new series of HP servers, rp54xx and rp74xx will support HP UX 10.20 or NOT?
My requirement is to have an HP server which support HP UX 10.20 32 bit environment. What is the available models in the market?

Hi Sri,

No. It won't support 10.20. These servers will support only 64 bit Operating systems. So you have to use either 11.0 or 11i (64 bit).

If you are looking for a machine that you can run 10.20 on then you will probably have to look at the used market.

If you want something that can run 10.20 (32-bit) or 11.X (32 or 64 bit) you could try a D box (specifically a Dx70, Dx80, Dx90), a K box (Kx50, Kx60, Kx70, Kx80) or possibly an R (R380 or R390).

I don't think there are many of the new boxes that will run 10.20.

Hi Sri,

Again, all new models of HP servers comes with the 64bit operating systems. You need to check up with HP for the availability of old servers or used servers.
