HP-UX 11.0 2-user to 8-user license upgradation
I am having HP D270 server with HP-UX 11.0 installed on it.It is a two user license. Now I want to convert it to 8-user.I had codeward and
cd-part number to do it but still i am unable to upgrade it to 8-user with "swinstall" or through "sam".
Through "sam" , The error it gave is "the space
in /tmp or /usr/tmp is not sufficient to mount the cd ".
I am able to mount the cd with mount command from command prompt but even after that if i use swinstall utility it gives the same error.
Is there any method so that i can install 8-user license without increasing the size of /tmp or /usr/tmp as i do not have space ?
Also can i select only one product i.e 8-user
license from the CD ? and how to do it.
I had gone through cd and tried to give the specific product path but it says unable to find depot software?
Can anybody help me , it is very urgent

Re: HP-UX 11.0 2-user to 8-user license upgradation
I don't know if this will help or not, but you can download a license upgrade from 2 user to unlimited users (which is now what they offer for hp11, I think) from software.hp.com
http://www.software.hp.com/cgi-bin/swdepot_parser.cgi/cgi/displayProductInfo.pl?productNumber=UNLIMUSERLIC
This is a depot file, which I think you can just install using swinstall. I havn't tried this myself yet, so if it works, please let me know. The hp guyt that I talked to made it sound that easy, though. Hope this helps.
