HP-UX 11.0 32 vs 64 bits
Hi all,
Is there an easy way, once installed, to switch back and forth between 32 and 64 bit mode ?
One of my dba's would like to conduct a few tests in both modes on a dedicated system.
Best regards,
Dan

Happy new year Dan,
Well you could always use a second disk with a 32bitOS, and use setboot, but what dedicated box do you have?
all the best
Victor

Anyway you'd need 2 versions of oracle (32/64)...

Re: HP-UX 11.0 32 vs 64 bits
Thanks Victor,
Happy New Year to you as well !!
That's what I intended to do, but I was just wondering if there was an easy (and hidden) receipt to make life easier.
You're right, we'll need 2 different Oracle installations; I already told the dba that he would have to install a 32 bit version.
The funny thing is, once the dba was aware of the need of a second Oracle, he decided that he could live without those tests.... Oh, lazy boy !!!
Best regards,
Dan
