The problem of the previous message I posted was fixed (thanks a lot for your help!) but I've got another:
We've got two servers:
n4000 HP-UX xxx B.11.00 U 9000/800 ... unlimited-user license
Installed with CD of September 2001
K380 HP-UX xxx B.11.00 A 9000/800 ... two-user license
Installed with CD of June 2000
In order to upgrade the second server to the first, I must only upgrade patches level (from June 2000 to September 2001)? In other words, what is the difference between the two CD's (outputs from uname -a are the same...)
Thanks in advance for your help.
Francesca.

Re: HP-UX 11.00 patches
fro a cumultave path to another, you must read the patch in patch bundle and not the uname -a
If you want to read the patch installed in your server you must run swlist -l product.

Re: HP-UX 11.00 patches
The patches as found in the Quality Pack bundles on a Support CD are cumulative for any OS release. If you want to bring your two servers to equivalent levels you will need to be running similar hardware and software.
You can view the contents of a Support CD bundle by going to Maintenance and Support -> Standard Patch Bundles -> View Support Plus Releases.
You should understand, too, that a particular patch number will change as it evolves. If you select an "old" version of any patch, the Patch Database will offer you the new one as an option.
Regards!

Re: HP-UX 11.00 patches
Per Domenico:
I've seen patches level from the output of swlist command: the result is June 2000 for K380 and September 2001 for the n4000.
Thanks.
Francesca.
