HP-UX 11.10 and patches

I'm about to upgrade our S800s from 10.20, and just found out this new beast.

If I upgrade to HP-UX 11.0, I'll have to apply a series of patches for clearcase.

Thinking if I go to HP-UX 11.10, I won't have to.

How wrong am I?

HP-UX is a release of the OS that is ONLY for the SCA V-Class configuration.
It is NOT for standard S800 systems, so you should just go for the current HP-UX 11.0, or wait till the next release, HP-UX 11.11 (a.k.a. 11.i)

11.10 is only for the V2500 SCA machine, and won't work on any others. You'll have to wait until 11i. (aka 11.11).

The other way is to put the 11.00 ACE media on (which has lots of patches already in it).
