HP-UX 11.11 and CIFS 02.01.01
Samba/CIFS has stopped working for me (I can't see my shares anymore) and I get the following error in my smb.log file. Any ideas?
[2005/02/24 11:56:02, 0] smbd/server.c:open_sockets_smbd(382)
open_sockets_smbd: accept: No buffer space available

Yes, I can stop and restart Samba but it doesn't seem to fix it.

How much cache has been set?
You may be running out of swapspace, memory.

What are your settings??
Also what is the tcp_conn_request_max setting??
ndd -get /dev/tcp tcp_conn_request_max.
Also all latest network related patches.

Re: HP-UX 11.11 and CIFS 02.01.01
min 5
nbuf 0
bufpages 204800
tcp_conn_request_max 4096
These settings are the same as I have on another server which is working with Samba.
I have a number of patches on the system. How can I narrow down the network only patches?

Re: HP-UX 11.11 and CIFS 02.01.01
Buffer cache (your are using static one-setting of bufpages) looks OK. Also tcp_conn_request_max looks OK.
Is there any difference betwen config files on working system and on system where samba is not working??
