HP-UX 11.11 ANSI C Version upgrade

Hi,

I have an rp3440 running HP-UX 11i v1 with the ANSI C Compiler vB.11.11.01.

I am trying to install some software and it tells me that I need the C compiler vC-ANSI-C.C,fr=B.11.11.16.

Where can I get this version? Is it a patch update?

Have you tried searching for it in ITRC patch database -

I did look at the patch database, but these seem to be patches to existing base filesets. They are not the base filesets.

For example:-

The patch fileset "PHSS_36086.C,r=1.0" may only be installed |
| | upon a previously installed base fileset. The specification |
| | for this base fileset is "C-ANSI-C.C,fr=B.11.11.16,v=HP". |
| | Since there is no fileset on the target or selected from the |
| | source which matches this specification, fileset |
| | "PHSS_36086.C,r=1.0" will be excluded.

I need the base fileset.

The software isn't Oracle Database is it??

If so you can probably ignore this...

C compiler is licensed software afaik.

means you are installing a patch for C but the actual software does not exist on the system.

as mentioned above if you are installing oracle then you can ignore the error.

If you aren't doing software development with your obsolete C compiler, you can just ignore that Oracle requirement.
