HP-UX 11.11 Application DVD Protected Software Product

Hi Forum,

The following DCE components:

B3188B DCE-SEC-Server B.11.11.10 DCE-SEC-Server
B3187B DCE-CDS-Server B.11.11.10 DCE-CDS-Server

appears in the application DVD. But when I cd to it /cdrom/B3188B or /cdrom/B3187B and perform ls, nothing is displayed.

Query: Is it because the above mentioned are protected software and requires me to add a new codeword in the software selection window to unlock the protected software? Btw how and where to get the codeword?

Please advise me/thanks cliff

Hi Cliff,

You will need to call HP based on your location to get the codeword. Here is the URL on licensing services. There are e-mail contacts also.

Use 'swinstall -> Actions' to add the codwords once you got them. Then you can see those products in swinstall window.

Just buy what you want :)
If you buy already you must register software nad hp will give you code words.
you can register your software by fax or by internet.

Yes directory is empty :)
This is way that depot work
You have software files and directory only for reference. This isn't mean that software is protected. Start sam and if you still not see your softwere there :) codeword is your
key to triumph.

Hi Guys,

To add on, i started swinstall n path the depot to /cdrom but the DCE components were not listed.

If codeword is goten and supplied thru swinstall>>action does it means that the DCE components will be unlocked for installation?
