Just configured a new Superdome and want to do a TOC test. How do I go about this?

Solution
Hi John,
If all you want to do is test whether the system dumps correctly, then you can just go into the MP for that cell & issue the TC command to TOC it.
If you want to simulate a "real-world" TOC, then you have to choose a piece of critical HW (power supply for ex) & disable enough of it to force a TOC. That's always a dicy proposition & I would recommend you consult with HP on the proper or best way to do that with the configuration you currently have.
Rgds,
Jeff

Re: HP-UX 11.11 Dump / TOC
FYI another great feature is the RS command that allows you to reset a hung system without toggling the power switch...it can be a lifesaver which can be issued remotely if you dont have direct console access...
Gratz on the SD, you will love it as I do mine.
