HP-UX 11.23 kernel parameters?

Is there a concise list of which kernel parameters have been obsoleted as of 11.23, and which ones now are automatically tuned by the system? I'd like to beat my DBA's and Basis admins over the head with this list everytime they request I change a kernel parameter that's been obsoleted.

Well, that mentions maxusers. I know there are several more that have been obsoleted, including semmap. I also know there are a number (including nfile) which the kernel now automatically tunes.

I found this list a few months ago on the 'net, but it seems to have disappeared. I just wish I had bookmarked it or printed it out then. My bad.

In addition to 'maxusers' and 'semmap', 'maxswapchunks' is obsolete at 11.23.

Hi,

Both semmap and maxswapchunks are obsolete.But oracle installation fails since it is unable to find these two parameters.
How to proceed.is there any workaround for this.

The right way to do this is to get Oracle to fix this.

The wrong way is to give in and use kctune to create your own parms, with the same name.
