Would like to know if a single lun presented  to 2 systems can it be mounted on both systems at the same time

Only if you have a cluster aware filesystem on it.

can the os have both custer file system and vxfs  and is the cluster file system free or due you  have to pay for this

I would think the only free one is using NFS or CIFS.
