Hi there
Which command can I use to check the current network speed of the server's LAN ports ?
lanscan ?
lanadmin ?
I DO NOT want to make configuration changes - just to display the current speed, duplex status, etc.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Re: hp-ux 11 - current network speed
lanadmin has some of the information but not in a simple format. The attached script lanhdwe will make the job much easier. It has information from several sources and you can use the script techniques to create your own report.
# lanhdwe

Re: hp-ux 11 - current network speed
Hi joy,
use /usr/sbin/lanscan -q command to display the PPA
Then issue /usr/sbin/lanadmin -x PPA number to display the lan card speed
for example
$/usr/sbin/lanscan -q
0
1
2
$ /usr/sbin/lanadmin -x 1
Speed = 1000 Full-Duplex.
Autonegotiation = On.
$/usr/sbin/lanadmin -x 2
Speed = 1000 Full-Duplex.
Autonegotiation = On.
Thats it!!!
