HP-UX 11 tuning

Hi,

Firstly let me say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has helped with my "HP-UX error: 12: not enough space" problem.

I have now discovered that the system which has 3Gb RAM was actually tuned for 4Gb of RAM. As a side note, it has 10Gb of swap.

What kernel parameters do I have to check/change to relfect this revelation?

Again, thank you all for your time.

Anthony.

Re: HP-UX 11 tuning

maxtsiz, maxdsiz, maxssiz

I would make maxdsiz (datasize) = between 1/2 to 1x memory

you could do the same for the others but generally thay will be 1/10 to 1/2 maxdsiz (I use 1/2)

As with all things HP-UX it depends on what you want it for!
