HP-UX 11

HI,

For testing purposes i installed HP-UX 11 on a 700 series workstation.
Something i have found is that i cannot telnet to any of our SCO machines
although i can to other HP-UX and AIX machines. /etc/services seems ok (SCO
reports an established telnet session), DNS is ok, i don't use nsswitch.conf
and i can telnet to this machine from SCO, very strange. Has anyone seen this
problem before? do i need a patch?

Could you be more specific in your query. What errors do you get?
Did it ever work before you loaded 11.0? if so at which OS level?
I also believe this is more of a networking query and should be directed at the
Networking Forum.

This may be a shells problem. What type of errors do you get when trying to
telent? Turn up the arpa logging by running inetd -l and checking
/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log.

You may also have a netmask issue on the HP box. Check to make sure your
netmask matches your subnetting scheme.
