HP-UX 11i boot auto_parms problem
just after the message saying DHCP access is disabled:
/sbin/auto_parms /tmp/sh98.113: cannot create
/sbin/auto_parms[24]: who: not found
/sbin/auto_parms[34];: ps: not found
/sbin/auto_parms[34]: grep: not found
OS is 11i v1-TCOE with the lastest patch bundle installed.
I didn't do any change on OS this thing just started today when i booted my HP c3600 to do some CAD/CAM work.
How do i fix this? Does anyone have the same problem?

Re: HP-UX 11i boot auto_parms problem
Can you boot into single user mode? Or do those errors occur even with that?
Oh, I don't see any mention if your system came up even with those errors??

Re: HP-UX 11i boot auto_parms problem
SR:8606368081 DTS:JAGaf28645
The set_parms command relys on a number of commands in directories, such as /usr, that may be located on mounted file systems. This command sometimes runs early in the boot process. Any issues related to incorrect configuration become hard to diagnose when missing command error messages are pushed off the screen by other messages.
and this:
SR:8606330912 DTS:JAGae92033
If a file system is mounted at /tmp, after a number of reboots the /tmp directory being hidden "under" the mount point fills with temp files.

Re: HP-UX 11i boot auto_parms problem
I think you want PHCO_34837 for 11.11.
The link that I first suggested discussed patches and that's what I was trying to point you towards.
Regards!
