Can i install HP-UX 11i v2 in 32bit kernal mode? can somebody explore this as am very new to HP-UX.

Hi,

I dont think it is possible to do a 32 bit installation of 11.23. It has only 64 bit kernel in-built which in turn compatible with 32 bit apps.

HP-UX 11i v2 supports only the 64-bit version of the HP-UX kernel. This release of HP-UX 11i v2 release fully supports the following HP 9000 servers and HP Integrity servers, as well as the new PA-8900 processor.

Note: HP-UX 11i v2 is not supported on PA-RISC Workstations. HP recommends that PA-RISC Workstation customers use HP-UX 11i v1.

The HP-UX 11i v2 May 2005 release was the last release supported on the Itanium®-based zx2000 and zx6000 workstations. These workstations have been discontinued as of September 2004.

why you want to install 11iV2 in 32 bit kernal mode?
you want to install oracle 32 bit or any other 32 bit application?

Thanks for the much needed help. This gives me clear idea that we can't install it in 32 bit as it is 64 inbuild kernal.
I jus wana know this because need to test some products which is 32 bit.
