Hp-ux 9.04

I have an HP9000 series 800 machine (G50) running (or at least it used to) hp-ux 9.04. I had a sybase database server running on it as well. It seems that the HD "fairy" had been at work and I lost the system drive. Lucky me (or so I thought) I had a backup. Unfortunatly it's only an fbackup, and it seems that the original hp-ux install tape "took a walk on the wild side", because it's nowhere to be found. Does anyone have a copy of the install tape for hp-ux 9.04, or maybe someone can tell me if I run the install for 10.0, and recover my sybase on the 10.0 will it work correctly??? Please help, I'm trying to get the "monkey" off my back (my boss).

Thanks in advance for any help

Re: Hp-ux 9.04

Hi Greg, I have not disposed of my tapes yet. What is the Part number of the tape you need?.

Re: Hp-ux 9.04

Good question Tommy,

I called HP, and they told me that the product (hpux 9.04) is no longer supported, so therefore they cannot give me any info. I really don't know what the part numbers are, but I need the install tape (boot) and core system.

Thanks,

GREG.....

Re: Hp-ux 9.04

I have in my hand the Install and Runtime Server tapes. I never used the 9.04 installation, so I do not know which ones you are needing. Maybe someone else can assist here.. I would be glad to send them

Re: Hp-ux 9.04

Tommy,

Thanks. I think that I would need both of them. I think I can go through the install myself. Can you email me at greg@nsri.com for the arrangements?

Again, Thanks A LOT
