HP-UX 9.05 C/ANSI Development Environment Series 700 Update tape needed
Does anyone know how to obtain or have a copy of a 4mm DAT tape for the HP-UX 9.05 C/ANSI Development Environment Series 700 Update?
This is an older HP-UX OS version (9.05),
but I'm looking it either on DAT tape or
CD too?
thanks, Stephen Joyce

Re: HP-UX 9.05 C/ANSI Development Environment Series 700 Update tape needed
Simple, you can not have it or get it.
HP-UX 9.0x is not supported and has not been supported for quite some time.
Your only choice is to run what you have, or upgrade to 10.x or 11.x.
Be warned that 10.X will be falling off the map soon too, so 11.X is the preferred option so that history does not repeat itself.
Regards,
Shannon

Re: HP-UX 9.05 C/ANSI Development Environment Series 700 Update tape needed
I have in my "to be recycled as coasters" bin the February 1994 and February 1995 HP 9000 Series 700 Applications CD-ROM sets. There are 3 CD-ROMs per set.
Perusing the Contents file of one of them seems to reveal that it has the C/ANSI C product B2413A.
This does require a codeword from HP to unlock. This might be the hardest thing to obtain.
Send me a SASCE (self addressed stamped CD envelope) and they're yours.
(I wouldn't turn down gift certificates, checks, money orders, etc., if they somehow managed to end up with the SASCE's. :-) )

Hmmm, it looks like some contact info for me might be needed: lampi@mdlcorp.com
Sorry about that!
