HP-UX and LaserJet forms
I've been asked to determine what software is needed to construct, manage, and download forms to HP laserjet printers. We currently have several HP 5si and HP 8000 laser printers.
We can host the software on HP-UX 10.20 or 11 or one of the many MSWindows operating systems.
Thanks
Terry

Re: HP-UX and LaserJet forms
By far the most powerful package I've found is
Unform (www.unform.com). I will warn you that it is very labor intensive but forms can be build 'on the fly'. It includes a build in language (BASIC) for processing the text. Plain vanilla text comes in and a 'rules file'
does pattern recognition on the text stream to match a given form. That form's code is then executed (graphics, duplex, color, fonts, barcodes, etc.) work like a charm. The resulting blend of form instructions and input text is then output. It also works well with fax packages which can accept PCL files.

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
