HP-UX and network printers
Two questions regarding Network printers on HP-UX.
It seems that the default behavior of a network printer is to no allow other users to cancel printjobs that do not belong to them.
This is the inverse of a remote printer.
1:
Is there a way to change this behavior?
(I see nothing in the hppi interface nor in the addqueue command to do so)
A printer 'class' is a way of getting print output to the first available printer in that class, so it doesn't help me with the following:
2a:
Is there a way to group different network printers together such that I can print to one "device" and all printers so grouped under that "device" will receive that output?
2b: If the answer is yes, can a printer belong to more than one such group?
Example:
I have networked printers a, b & c.
I have a weather report that needs to print to a & b.
I have an operations report that needs to print to b & c.
Can I have two "devices", one called "weather", the other called "operations" such that I can print the weather report to device weather and it will show up on printers a & b and the operations report to device operations and it will show up on both b & c?
