If you mean can you have a ServiceGuard cluster comprising both PA-RISc and Itanium based systems, the answer is currently no.

Yes, that's what I mean. Any insight why not? MC/SG functions at binary level, and, as both kind of sistems are marketed as capable of running the same OS, I'm sure I'm missing something.

Solution
well htey do not run hte same versions of OS.
One is the IPF version, and htis is a different version of MCSG as well, as opposed to the 11.11 or PA versions.
This of course may change in hte future, but at this time, it is not suported
