HP-UX configuration gathering tool

Hello!

I would like to introduce a tool for gathering information on the HP-
UX operating system. I would like to hear experts opinions about this
utility, its prospects and usefulness. Any feedbacks, suggestions, bug
reports, feature requests etc are welcome.

I will look at it and perhaps submit you some output from our own custom scripts that do the same thing.

At the moment I'm working on the new additional features which is not included in version available for download and probably your help, scripts, etc will help to make this tool more useful for hp-ux users.

It's a nice utility - but it bears resemblance to something I already have called SysInfo that I got directly from HP.

Yes, I agree with you, but SysInfo from HP is not public available. However HP tool is officially supported by HP - it is a main thing for some people. But probable somebody will like to use my tool instead of HP tool.

There is also another too that I use called cfg2html. It is similar to sysinfo, but is in the public domain at

It is free, and quite detailed. So why reinvent the wheel?

So, for example, some people like to use google some yahoo, although the appointment is the same, but result is different. :) For example I'm don't like use cfg2html and probably somebody also don't like cfg2html and sysinfo-dc will be better for them.
